Students from the Modern Band and Music Theory classes visited Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on Monday with Mrs. Gibson and Ms. Lindner. Students toured the museum, which tells the story of both the iconic music festival that took place there and the broader cultural evolution in politics, music, art, and the big societal issues of the time. They also posed at the Woodstock Festival Monument, which commemorates the site of the original Woodstock Music Festival in 1969. It was a pretty groovy day!

Student Abraham Pettit, Ms. Lindner, and Mr. Baxter participated in TubaChristmas in Johnson City again this year. What fun!
The auditorium was filled with the wonderful music of our High School Winter Concert Thursday night. There were performances by the Jazz Band, Senior Orchestra, Senior Chorus, Concert Band, and soloists Paisley Smith, Keiran Synan and Briannah Pringle (accompanied by Evie Ainsworth and Mrs. Gibson). Five Delaware Academy students participated in the NYSSMA Zone 8 Area all-State Festival in Cooperstown on November 22. Daniella Pizzo performed with the Treble Choir, Asa Moxley with the Concert Band, and Eveline Ainsworth, Alanna Dones and Keiran Synan sang in the Mixed Choir. Thanks to Miss Lamb and Mrs. Lindner for their help preparing for the festival, and congratulations to all!
