Wishing all of our Delaware Academy families and friends who are celebrating this week a very Merry Christmas!

Students in Mrs. Sherman’s Family and Consumer Science classes tried their hands at decorating sugar cookies with royal icing this week. Mmmmm!

Students in Mrs. Sherman’s 6th grade Family and Consumer Science class used their measuring and scissor skills to make tie blankets in class, just in time for winter break!

Our students have been busy little elves! Here are a few more holiday art projects: Tim Burton-inspired Holiday portraits (8th grade); Nutcrakers - oil pastels and tempera paint with patterned backgrounds done with tempera paint sticks (5th grade); and the 4th grade played Roll-an-Elf (annual fave), done with black sharpie and colored pencils and patterned backgrounds done with tempera paint sticks.

Students were serenaded with holiday music as they arrived this morning! Thanks to the (mostly) pajama-clad Delaware Academy ensemble of Mrs. Gibson, Ms. Lindner, Luke Pringle, Miss Collison, Victoria Verspoor and Mrs. Zimmerman for providing a cheery start to the day!

Thank you to all our talented students who performed in Tuesday's High School Winter Concert. It was amazing! Special thanks to our student conductor and soloists!

The Delaware Academy Middle School Chorus and Middle School Orchestra returned this year to the Delhi Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for some seasonal music before an appreciative audience. Thank you for the warm reception!

It's Holiday Spirit week, and today is "Ski Day." Mrs. Zimmerman and Ms. Trask are ready!

Patience pays! From plain clay to these colorful gnomes and trees–amazing! These creations are the handiwork of Mrs. Reid-Jackson’s 7th and 8th grade art class.

Delaware Academy student Abraham Pettit, Band Director Aimee Lindner, and math teacher Skip Baxter joined a festive group of tuba players for Tuba Christmas at the Oakdale Commons Mall in Johnson City earlier this month. TubaChristmas is held annually at holiday time in many locations around the world to celebrate the heritage and honor the legacy of great tuba and euphonium players and teachers. TubaChristmas was started by Harvey Phillips in 1974, and this year’s performance marks its 50th year.
