It was an evening of music, dancing and fun at the DA Junior Prom Saturday! The Prom was held at the Carriage House Event Center in Oneonta. Congratulations to the members of the Prom Court, and to the prom organizers for a successful event!

Elementary students gathered last week for a quarterly celebration of our “Super Citizens” and a review of the Problem-Solving steps from the Second Step program with Mr. Albright, Mrs. Lane, and intrepid jump-roper Miss Carron. What a great assembly!
The New York State Public High School Athletic Association Inc. (NYSPHSAA) announced its Spring 2024 Scholar-Athlete teams, and all of the DA Varsity girls and boys teams made the list. This means that for the first time in at least 14 years, ALL DA Varsity Teams across 3 seasons qualified for NYSPHSAA scholar athlete team! Congratulations to all our DA Bulldogs for this incredible accomplishment – we are so proud of you! #bulldogspirit
DCMO BOCES held a Signing Day on Wednesday for Career & Technical Education students at their Harrold Campus in Sidney Center. Delaware Academy senior Gavin Matthews was part of the ceremony as he accepted a position with Delaware County Department of Public Works. Gavin will begin his new endeavor on June 17. Congratulations, Gavin!
On Thursday May 22 students in Modern Band visited the Woodstock museum in Bethel with Mrs. Collison and Mrs. Gibson and ate lunch on the site of the festival. Pretty groovy!
Mrs. Gibson and 6 students attended the 2024 UkeFest at the Ashokan Center in Olivebridge, NY this weekend! It was a day of workshops, performances, and enjoying the music of the ukulele. Delaware Academy alumnus Elise Rapunkus met up with the group as well!

Delaware Academy’s chapter of the National Junior Honor Society inducted 18 new members Wednesday, at an assembly of the 6th, 7th and 8th grade and family members in the high school auditorium. The ceremony was led by current members of the NJHS, with Delaware Academy Middle School Principal Ms. Liddle and NJHS advisor Mr. Abts. Congratulations to all the new members!
