Working with Mr. Kollig, students from Mrs. Galunas' 3rd Grade class are doing illustrations of the Northern Lights by smudging different oil pastels lines, splatter painting stars, and creating a black paper silhouette.They look beautiful!

Meet Stephanie Lamb, who joined us at the Middle School and High School in January!

Join us this Wednesday, Sept 24 from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm for an Open House at the Middle School and High School.

Families can move about freely for the hour, stopping into classrooms and meeting with their child(ren)'s teachers. Tables will be set up near club advisor locations throughout the night for students and families to learn about the different clubs (and sign up!). The lobby will have snacks, information on DASH, ParentSquare, and SchoolTool.

An internet safety presentation will be given in the auditorium from 6:00-6:30 pm and 6:35-7:00 pm by NYS Trooper Nate McCarthy.

Teachers will be in their room and prepared to briefly speak with families answering questions about curriculum, class expectations, etc.

It was a fun night at the elementary school on Friday! Pre-K through 5th grade students and their families enjoyed an array of fun games and activities, as well as prizes and refreshments and time with friends. Thanks to Mr. Albright and Miss Emilio, the carnival committee and our cheerful staff and student volunteers for making the event possible! Special thanks to Mr. Shultz and Ms. Dutcher for being good sports at the "whip cream pie" table!

Sweethearts & Heroes brought their message of hope, empathy and action to students in the middle school on Monday and the high school on Tuesday. Founder Tom Murphy and Co-founder Rick Yarosh shared their bullying prevention and intervention message in morning assemblies, followed by a series of small-group "Circles," where participants shared, built connections and strengthened their sense of empathy. Students and educators were engaged and energized!

Reminder– all home DA varsity games and matches (and JV volleyball) played in our gymnasiums or Dave Kelly Field are available to watch online through the free Hudl service. Away games held at schools using the Hudl service may also be available! Just search for “Delaware Academy High School” at www.hudl.com and start watching! Friday was a special night at Dave Kelly Field, as the varsity football team took the field for the first night game under the lights. Superintendent Carey Shultz, Board of Education President Tammy Neumann and Athletic Coordinator Kyle Murray recognized Sean and Chris Clark and representatives of Schoolhouse Construction Management, and Chris Clark tossed the coin to start. The Bulldogs put on a great show for the hometown crowd, defeating Burke Catholic High School 56-13. Here's a few pictures from the night - more are available on the DA Facebook page.
