Victory in the house, times two! The varsity girls basketball team defeated Moravia, 51-39, followed by a varsity boys victory over Trumansburg, 63-43. Both teams advance to the Section IV Class C Championship at Tompkins Cortland Community College on March 7. Way to go, Bulldogs!

Spectators attending tonight’s sectional basketball games at Delaware Academy should be prepared for limited parking and modified traffic patterns on and near the school grounds. Here are some parking tips:
· consider carpooling
· follow all directional signs and directions from those directing traffic
· additional overflow parking is available in the parking lot behind the Delaware County Office Building at 111 Main Street. A free shuttle will operate from 4:00 pm until after the second game

PARKING ALERT

Tickets for the Section IV Class C Boys and Girls Semifinal games tonight at Delaware Academy are available now at the GoFan site ( https://gofan.co/event/6255192?schoolId=NYSPHSAAIV ). If you have previously purchase tickets for one of these games they will be honored for tonight’s games at Delaware Academy. Spectators who previously purchased tickets and are unable to attend at the new time or location may contact GoFan Fan Support to request a refund at https://fansupport.gofan.co/s/.

Doors open at 4:00 pm. No cash tickets will be sold at the event. Children 10 and under are free.

NEW TIMES! The Section IV Class C Girls Varsity Basketball game originally scheduled for Tuesday night at Tompkins Cortland Community College has been rescheduled to Wednesday night. Additionally, the Section IV Class C Boys Varsity Basketball game has been changed to a new time and location: both games will now take place at Delaware Academy in the high school gym. Girls game begins at 5:00 pm, boys game at 6:45 pm. Previously purchased tickets for these games may still be used. Let's go, Bulldogs!

Pre-registration for Delaware Academy’s 2026-27 Pre-K Class lottery is now live. Parents who would like to preregister their child for possible inclusion in our pre-k class this fall can do so today through Thursday, April 2rd. The child must be four years old by December 1, 2026 and meet other criteria to be eligible for consideration. Eligible children’s names will be entered into a lottery system from which names will be randomly selected until all 18 spots have been filled.

Mr. Murray and six Delaware Academy student-athletes spent Thursday at a leadership conference. The Section IV Student-Athlete Leadership and Sportsmanship Conference is an annual event in Binghamton, NY, where hundreds of high school student-athletes, coaches, and athletic directors from every school in the section gather to enhance leadership, sportsmanship, and character on and off the field. Organized by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C), it features workshops on teamwork, sportsmanship, mental health, and, nutrition. Richard Jensen, author of “Be A Champion For Life,” was the keynote speaker. Attending with Mr. Murray were Jeremy MacNeill, Lucy Reynolds, Marley Leddy, Addison Albright, Danielle Ennist, Jason VanMaaren, and Rebecca Verspoor.
