
Students in Mrs. Whittaker’s Personal Finance class traveled to the DCMO BOCES Harrold Campus Tuesday for “The Real World: Money Edition” simulation. The event, developed by Sidney Federal Credit Union and presented in partnership with DCMO BOCES, allows students to practice making financial decisions in a variety of real-life situations.

The DA/SK Cross Country team leaves Friday morning for Saturday's NYS Championships in Queeensbury, and the varsity football team leaves in the afternoon for Friday night's Sectional Championship in Johnson City. Delaware Academy CSD at Delhi welcomed 33 local veterans and their families and guests for a morning of special recognition Friday, November 8. Breakfast was served by National Honor Society students, followed by a moving musical program. The program also included a keynote address by local Marine Corps veteran Tyler Evans, door prizes, “roll call,” and presentation of a gift to the local American Legion Post. Veterans also received cards and bookmarks made by students, who also made special placemats for the breakfast. It was an amazing morning, and an honor to celebrate the service of our veterans!

Congratulations to our varsity volleyball team for a successful and exciting season! The Bulldogs played 3 games in the first day of the sectional championships yesterday, winning one against Deposit-Hancock and finishing third. Thank you Coach All, and thank you Bulldogs!


Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Cross Country teams, both of which earned the Section IV Class D team Championship. It was the 8th in a row for the girls team, and the 5th title in 8 years that both the boys and girls won! 5 runners were named Section IV All-Stars: Aurelia Comer, Abi Tessier, Lilly McGonigal, Jaden Lewis and Latham Gielskie. Arelia Comer was also the top girls finisher!
Next up: the New York State Championships, Friday 11/16-Saturday 11-17. Let’s go, DA/SK!

It's never too early to start practicing for the Delhi Holiday Parade! Mrs. Lindner leads the marching band in front of the school this afternoon.


Delaware Academy FFA member Hailey Brandenburg and chapter advisor Mr. Kline attended the Farm Credit East Donation Dinner at their Cooperstown office last week. Farm Credit East donated the proceeds of a summer fundraising event to a number of area FFA chapters that night. Hailey (front, left) is shown here with the other school representatives. Farm Credit East is part of the Farm Credit System, a nationwide agricultural network that provides credit and affiliated services to those involved in agriculture and related industries.


This school year, vaping and tobacco use among youth and young adults remains a serious concern. Parents Against Vaping has prepared a free virtual presentation for parents and other adults to learn the essentials to help kids avoid or quit vaping and other nicotine use.
This virtual presentation will be held on Tuesday, November 19 at 6:00 pm EST.
At the end of the presentation, participants will be able to:
- Understand and recognize tobacco industry tactics targeting youth
- Explain the dangers of nicotine e-cigarettes/vapes, non-nicotine vapes, and other new tobacco products
- Know the steps to protect youth and how to advise others to get involved
- - know how to take action in your own communities

Veterans and their families are invited to attend a special Veterans Day event this Friday, beginning with a breakfast at 8:15 am, followed by an assembly and special program in the high school auditorium at 9:00 am. The program portion is open to the general public, and will feature performances by the high school music ensembles and an address from keynote speaker Tyler Evans, a Marine Corps veteran who now lives in the Walton area. Veterans who are interested in attending are asked to RSVP by calling the high school office, 607-746-1308.
