Area school superintendents joined DCMO BOCES District Superintendent Michael Rullo at Delaware Academy on Friday for a meeting of chief school administrators from the DCMO BOCES component schools. The group meets monthly for discussions and conversations; the superintendents were able to see the results of a number of recent capital projects at the school during a walking tour with DA Superintendent Carey Shultz.
The New York State Sportswriters Association has released the Class C all-state teams in boy’s basketball for the 2025/26 season, and three of our Bulldogs made the list: Lucas Nealis - 4th team, Teddy Kelsh - 9th Team, and Benny Schnabel, Honorable Mention. Congratulations!
Students in the concert band and senior orchestra traveled to Heritage at the Plains at Parish Homestead, a senior living center in Oneonta. Following performances by the concert band, orchestra and several soloists, they visited the Kartrite Resort, an indoor waterpark in Monticello, N.Y. It was a full but fun day!
This week, students in Mrs. Grasso’s 8th grade ELA class performed passages from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream before an enthusiastic audience. The students spent the last several weeks preparing, watching professional performances, acting scenes in front of the class, and more recently, memorizing their lines. Bravo!

Delaware Academy CSD at Delhi will hold its April school board meeting on Monday, April 20, 2026, with the public session beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Library Media Center. Over 60 Delaware Academy juniors and sophomores attended the College & Career Fair at SUNY Delhi on Wednesday. The students had the opportunity to talk with representatives from dozens of colleges, military branches, businesses and career-focused organizations.

We want to remind families of students enrolled in school-based health that Bassett's School-Based Health Centers will be open even though schools are on break. Delaware Academy's DASH center will be open on Wednesday, students may be seen at one of the listed health centers on other days.

Last Tuesday was the High School Pops Concert, and it was a fun night filled with favorites! There were performances from the Concert Band, Senior Orchestra, Senior Chorus, Modern Band ensembles, Jazz Band featuring Paisley Smith singing "At Last," and solo vocal performances by Keiran Synan and Eliza Cook. Thank you to Ms. Lindner, Ms. Lamb and Mrs. (and Mr.!) Gibson for their support of these talented students.
The students are break this week, but there are still a couple of home games to see! Let's go, Bulldogs!

Delaware Academy PTA is sponsoring an Earth Day Festival at the elementary school, with fun activities for the whole family! Mark your calendar!
It must be spring– the High School Pops Concert and the Middle School/High School Art Show are here! Join us Tuesday night, 7:00 pm in the high school for wonderful music and art.
NYThursdays are back! Both cafeterias served up Maple Mashed Sweet Potatoes yesterday, with sweet potatoes sourced from Tributary Farm in High Falls and maple syrup sourced from Shaver Hill Farm in Harpersfield. In the elementary school, 140 students sampled the dish, and it got an overwhelming thumbs up in the student taste test. Stay tuned for more local foods on the menu for the rest of this year!
The Monday, March 30 Budget Workshop shown on the school calendar has been canceled. The next regular Board of Education meeting is scheduled for April 20.
