Last week the Girls Varsity Soccer team played 3 games, their first league game plus 2 games in the Cohen Classic Tournament at Margaretville. They beat Greene 1-0 for their first league win, and won both games in the Cohen Tournament: 4-0 over Livingston Manor-Roscoe and in the 5-0 over Margaretville for the championship. Counselors and principals hosted a luncheon for new students at the high school and middle school Friday. It was a great opportunity to chat and get to know each other. Mr. Shultz, Ms. Zinkievich and SRO Ferrara stopped in for some pizza as well!

Students in Mr. Broesler’s Lifetime Fitness class got a lesson in fly fishing on Tuesday. Drew Jacobs from Friends of the Upper Delaware brought practice fly fishing gear, and after a quick introduction, the students were casting away!

In November 2023, the Blue Ribbon Commission on Graduation Measures presented their recommendations for future diploma requirements to the Board of Regents. Since then, the Education Department worked on a vision to implement these recommendations. DCMO BOCES has partnered with three other regional BOCES to sponsor two upcoming forums designed to gather input, one for the public and another specifically for educators. Meeting attendees will have the opportunity to break into smaller groups to discuss and provide feedback directly to the Education Department on their proposed vision. Both are free, but registration is required. Please attend and share your input!
