About our program
The Food Service Department of Delaware Academy Central School District at Delhi strives to provide students and staff with tasty nutritious meals. Our department consists of 8 dedicated staff who take pride in preparing an average of 700 meals per day. Each building offers a variety of meal choices which include whole grains, fresh fruits, fresh vegetables and low fat milk. We hope the students enjoy our meals as much as we enjoy preparing them.
Please check with the schools your children attend for their procedures. Parents who do not want their children to be allowed to charge meals may send in a note to the kitchen staff.
Elementary and Middle/High Schools: Students may not charge snacks at any grade level.
Parents will receive Low Cash calls as soon as their students enter a negative balance.
If the student's account is overdue, parents are asked to send payment to the cafeteria, or pay the account through the myschoolbucks website, an online payment option.
Elementary: At the Elementary level we offer a variety of choices every day. Students may choose from the entrée of the day, the second choice, a deli sandwich, peanut butter and jelly sandwich or a freshly prepared salad lunch. Students are offered a variety of fruit and vegetable choices. Students may choose skim milk, 1% low-fat milk or fat free chocolate or strawberry milk.
Middle and High School: The Middle School and High School offers a entree of the day, a second choice, a new menu item choice, chef salads, salad bar as well as fresh and canned fruit choices. Students may choose skim milk, 1% low-fat milk or fat free chocolate or strawberry milk.
