Rocco Schnabel has been named Valedictorian and Leah Dennis will be Salutatorian of the Class of 2025 at Delaware Academy Central School at Delhi.
Rocco is a busy and active student, involved in a number of student groups and athletic teams. He is a member of the National Honor Society, and is currently serving as a student representative on the Board of Education. Rocco was recently honored at the 2025 Scholar Recognition dinner. He has been involved in the school’s mentoring program, student government, International Cultures Club, concert band and the Upstate Academic Challenge Team, and last year participated in the CASSC Leadership Conference. He played on Delaware Academy’s varsity football and basketball teams, earning All-State Honors for football. Rocco plans to attend the University of Virgina, where he’ll major in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
Leah is also an active student and a three-season athlete. She has been a member of the varsity softball, soccer, and basketball teams, the International Cultures Club, Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), Upstate Academic Challenge Team, student mentoring program and Sources of Strength. Leah also participated in the Women’s Leadership Conference last year. She plans to attend the University of Vermont, majoring in Biomedical Engineering. After completing college, she looks forward to working as an engineer and traveling.
Delaware Academy Central School District at Delhi will hold its 205th commencement ceremony at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 28 at the high school.
