(Updated September 18, 2024 2:00 PM) Delaware Academy CSD At Delhi was recently made aware of a Facebook post stating that there was an incident on campus this afternoon. This post is simply a rumor and not true. Based on advice from law enforcement personnel, we will continue our normal daily procedures.
We appreciate those that have brought this matter to our attention. The safety of our students and staff remains a top priority. Please be vigilant and notify your child's school administration if you deem anything out of the ordinary.

(Delaware Academy CSD at Delhi, 9/18/24 10:58 AM) We were informed late Tuesday afternoon of a rumor that there was a threat directed at BOCES for Wednesday, 9/18. As we do with all potential threats, we immediately began to investigate this, including engaging with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office and BOCES Administration. After further review, it was determined that the threat was not credible.
Late Tuesday evening, the District was also made aware of a social media post of another rumor that a student had made a threat to Delaware Academy for Wednesday, 9/18. The District Administrative team, along with SRO Ferrara, began investigating the matter immediately. It was determined that the threat again was not credible and that there is no evidence at this time that a direct threat was actually made. In the meantime, the District Administration is continuing to investigate the situation.
After authorities determined that both threats were not credible, the district decided to proceed with school on Wednesday following our normal schedule. To ensure peace of mind with our families and students, additional law enforcement personnel were on our campus during the morning arrival to help reduce concern and increase safety. As we do each day, we will remain vigilant in our effort to maintain a safe school environment. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority.
