April 2025 Updates

At the end of April, work has really progressed on the lower field.

Work has begun on the lower field for the new dual-purpose softball/soccer field. Work will continue on that field and will begin on the upper Dave Kelly Field in mid-May.
February 2025 Updates

Athletic Fields: Work on both the lower softball/soccer field and Dave Kelly Field will get underway this spring. Construction will begin on the lower field as soon as weather allows, continuing into late May when attention will turn to Dave Kelly Field and the track and field spaces. The Bill Mokay Invitational Track and Field Tournament will still take place at our facility on May 7-8, fitting in this event in before the track is renovated. Work will continue on the fields through the summer, with completion anticipated before Labor Day 2025. The fields will be available for the 2025-2026 school year.
Ag & Technology Innovation Lab: renovation of our technology area will get underway July 1, 2025. This work will create new technology-focused instructional spaces and upgrades to instructional spaces for agriculture and fabrication spaces and equipment.
Smart Schools Initiative: we anticipate starting these improvements to the safety and security of our school July 1, 2025. This project includes replacing all security cameras with upgraded technology, installation of external security strobes to signal when a school lockdown is in place, and additional security measures in the main office. You can find earlier information about this initiative here.
Energy Performance Contract: work is anticipated to begin July 1, 2025 on this project, with new LED lighting, upgraded heating, air handling and air quality controls, and making walls, windows, floors and roofs more weathertight. You can find earlier information about this contract here.

Capital Project Vote Results
The proposition passed. Yes: 479 No: 229
We are grateful to our community for their continued support of our schools, students, and families. The success of this project vote will incorporate the generous donation of a new multipurpose field from the Clark Family. We live in a truly amazing community.

Agriculture and Technology Innovation Lab Design Planning
The projects approved in Proposition 1 by voters in October 2023 are advancing. Highland Associates Architects are in the planning phases for design of our Agriculture and Technology Innovation Lab, and recently met with students and faculty. As design plans are finalized, they are submitted to the State Education Department for approval and to be assigned a project number. Once that is complete, we can move ahead with opening bids for the project.
